Committee

At present UPDF is run by a seven-member convening committee headed by Prasit Bikash Khisha, former president of the Hill Students Council. The original committee comprised of five members formed at the Party Preparatory conference held in Dhaka on 25-26 December 1998.

For conducting day to day activities, the Party has a number of departments, each headed by a member of the central convening committee. The important departments are Finance, Publication and Publicity, Public Relations, and Front Oganisations. The activities of these departments are coordinated through a Central Secretariat headed by the Party chief.
