JSS
sheltering a murderer
The
Dighinala Unit of the Jana Samhati Samiti is providing
shelter to an absconding criminal accused of murder, rape
and looting.
Sunil
Kanti Chakma (30) alias Petto s/o Amrito Muni Chakma of
village Kripa Para in Dighinala, now in the sheltering
care of the JSS, is one of the masterminds behind the
killing of Gopal Moni Chakma in Dighinala. He was killed
by a group of armed robbers on 25 March this year.
The
armed robbers broke into the house of Gopal Muni Chakma,
looted valuables and chopped him to death. The culprits
also raped his wife and two young daughters. The news
was published in the Swadhikar bulletin (issue No. 32).
Sunil
Kanti Chakma and his gang members have been absconding
after the incident. It was believed that they might have
fled to India
to avoid arrest. But recently it has been learnt that
the JSS has inducted Sunil Kanti Chakma into one of its
armed groups. He is now operating in Dighinala area.
